The Saga of our Daihatsu YRV 2001 Turbo 1.3
On Friday, August 22nd 2014 Vego and I bought a 2001 Daihatsu YRV TURBO 1.3l for what we hoped was a good deal.
The Listing
The seller was from another University Professor here in Hong Kong and here's the listing for the car that he posted in a local Bulletin Board called AsiaExpat:He was kind enough to provide some pictures with the listing. Here they are:

The Good
- The car exterior is very good for a vehicle of this age, no rust no dents
- The car interior is almost pristine in terms of condition, and smells OK
- The car runs well and does not seem to have major mechanical issues
- The car has just had its motor and transmission oil changed
- The car has just been licensed, with over 6 month remaining
- The car has just been inspected, and passed, with over 6 months remaining
- The car now has a new battery, which seems to be a problem with the YRV family
- Vego likes the car and feels confident that she can drive it without any problems
- The car has a new stereo
The Bad
- One of the air flow control knobs is broken
- The ride is very, very hard and a little noisy
- The air conditioning is not working, blows hot air
- There *may* be a door seal problem on the left passenger side
- There is a little squeaking sound in the cabin coming from somewhere in the rear
